Learning To Pitch, Valentine's Podcast and a Depression Sprinkle
Since the beginning of January, I have been taking a kind of Pitch Wars intensive. It is one of the steepest learning curves in writing I have encountered in a long time. All the things I was never taught in my MFA, I am learning now. It’s crazy. Every week it’s a struggle…but I know that it’s necessary for me grow as a writer. I hope to have a novel built and written from this - wish me luck!
I’m also part of Short Story Today’s special Valentine’s Day podcast!! Very excited about that. It’s something I wrote recently in SLQ’s Fitness workshop. The episode drops on the 12th! Hope you are able to listen to all of the awesome writers having their work read by professional voice actors!
Finally, this week has been rough, emotionally (and probably hormonally lol) so that even good things barely make a dent in the depression that’s been sprinkled over the last few days. I do a lot to combat it with exercise and music and positive reinforcement of the good things, but sometimes I just feel crap. Here’s to not feeling crap this weekend!
Finally, if you haven’t had the chance to read my recent reprints in Sugar Sugar Salt, I’d really appreciate it!
As always - sending light and love and creativity (no depression sprinkles on your cupcake of a week)!
