SFWP Longlist, A Few Pubs, and Working on a New Collection

Hi all!

I don’t know how everyone out there is feeling but spring is springing and I’m feeling it. I’m also feeling like time is molasses AND mercury, so that’s always super fun.

I want to celebrate that my flash collection has made the longlist with The SFWP Literary Awards! I know it’s a longshot but I hope that my little book makes it!

I also had a few publications, a micro at The Mersey Review, and two more at The Ilanot Review.

“So This Is Love” was a lot of fun to write and not my “usual” - but definitely something I think about. Check out my interview with the editor about this piece and my process: A Few Words.

“in the dark” and “The Devil You Don’t Know” circle my usual themes of mothers and daughters and darkness in its various forms. I will be recording a reading this weekend, so I am hoping that you will keep an eye out for the video!

Finally, I have been participating in SmokeLong Quarterly’s Winter Fete and Micro Marathon and writing a new collection. I am hoping to submit it to a few chapbook contests this year!
