Taking Some Time Off, Writing and an Invitation to be a Reader in Residence

Golden Week just finished. I was able to actually take two whole days off for myself! It was glorious. I got to be in nature and see some mountains. I needed that.

That also meant a whole day of work yesterday: I wrote a flash for an anthology submission which got accepted last night. I wrote a craft essay for Mandira Pattnaik’s blog, scheduled for May 30th. I edited some work. I read about 15+ submissions for Uncharted.

I was pretty much brain dead by 9pm.

This morning I received a lovely invitation to be a Reader in Residence at one of my favorite literary journals - I am not sure if I can mention which one yet but I am super excited!!
