SmokeLong Best Microfiction Nom and Interview with Short Story Today

I may need to rethink how I title these posts but today is not that day.

Today is the day to celebrate another Best Microfiction nomination - this one for in ache published in SmokeLong Quarterly! It was so awesome to wake up to the news.

I will be celebrating with my 4th shot (booked several weeks ago…because Japan) and a trip to Costco. Woohoo! Hopefully some Costco pizza and an old fashioned will be in the plans.

I would love to talk about Short Story Today and its host Jon DiSavino as well. I had a wonderful hour+ long chat with him last Sunday about my writing and growing up in Hawai’i. The podcast is scheduled to be released on January 18, 2023. I’m really excited to listen to it and I hope that you all will make space to listen to it too!

I know today is Thanksgiving for all of my friends and family in America - so I would like to say that I am grateful for all of you - I am grateful for everyone I have met online through my writing and through reading all of your wonderful words. Thank you.
