My Two Pubs

This week has been kind of crazy.

First, the Olympics start today. I have been hiding in my house and intend not to leave it as much as possible this weekend.

Speaking of… there are two holidays this weekend so I actually have four days off - with school out for the summer here in Japan, I am just trying to recharge from my day-to-day life of living in a country who seems to think the virus happens to other people, which I guess is everyone’s country at this point. I have a solid two weeks coming up which sadly means staying home because I am worried there will be a travel ban after the Olympics because you know… people are going to get sick.

So to celebrate - I am going to be joyous and share my happiness of two successful publications this week. One with Necessary Fiction for The Linebackers of Waikiki and in Have Has Had for Starting Over. Both of these publications are so different but definitely me. The Linebackers is the part of me that wants to write about growing up in Hawaii, and I have… a lot. Starting Over is the part of me that wants to experiment and explore! So to have these both out in the same week is such a great showcase of what I am capable of. So I am cheering myself with a skinny margarita on my lanai in my hammock swing as mosquito punk wafts in the blow dryer breeze. Kanpai!
