My Second Skull and Two Upcoming Workshops
Phew… what a morning! My triptych of postcards I submitted to HAD’s crazy postcard submission call is live today!!
It was quite the challenge. I had to go to the post office, which in Japan also doubles as a bank, try to buy postcards because I wasn’t sure which store would have postcards to buy and you know I figured a post office would have postcards, right? There were literally two choices and one of them was in the Japanese style of postcards and I needed a more American friendly one. I found them. They were cute but not exactly HADish…. So I drew my skulls. Wrote my stories. Drew more stuff on it. Mailed them out together and HOPED they would make it to America safely and intact…. and they did! And they loved it and I was just ecstatic!
On Monday, I start two concurrent workshops - one with Matt Kendrick and the other with Sarah Freligh. I don’t know why I decided to do that to myself but I just didn’t want to miss the opportunity to work with them!
I also got a wonderful acceptance this morning and I have been posting some Hawaiian music ukulele videos on Instagram so yay for being creative! I hope everyone has a wonderful Aloha Friday… I know I will!
