I Wrote A Tiny Story With Kathy Fish's Fast Flash Fiction Class

I did! And it was dark and beautiful and what I needed to write.

When I felt it was complete and had my friends read it, I sent it out into the world and received an awesome acceptance from a literary journal that I have had my sights on since I first read other beautiful and moving stories in it.

If you are interested in writing flash fiction, I totally recommend taking any of Kathy Fish’s courses or workshops if you can. Check out her website for links to them. I signed up for Skillshare to take her Fast Flash Fiction and Descriptive Writing classes because they are more easily accessible than her flash fiction workshops. She offers a link to get two free months with the service so you don’t have to pay upfront for it.

Her Fast Flash Fiction class was just what I needed to inspire me to write something new and a little different. I was able to easily meld my writing style and voice with her helpful instructions. I am hoping to keep using her techniques moving forward.

Currently, I am working on something I wrote in her Descriptive Writing class. We shall see how it turns out. Lots of food in it so it’s making me hungry, and it’s making me miss home.
