Graduation, Another Acceptance and Another Book Rejection!

My students just had their graduation. It was short. Which was great! Everyone was wearing masks. Which was also great, but I would have preferred no graduation than to risk infection. I’m not super worried but it’s a bit surprising to cancel school but to still hold graduation.

GOOD NEWS! I got another acceptance! I needed this as much as I need the other one. I mean two so close together made me feel like okay all those rejections (for years) were worth it to find homes for these pieces.

A few hours later…

BAD NEWS! I got another rejection on my short story collection. Keep this up and this girl is going to think the world just isn’t interested in her. I am seriously running out of places to submit it too. I was talking to my friend about it and I might just have to write a novel and get that published before I can even get the short story collection published too.

I am hoping to just keep writing new stuff and sending it out into the world.
