Waiting for my copies...

It can be hard to wait patiently for something, especially when that something is as important to you as seeing your work in print.

Last year, I had two publications in real live actually bound journals but getting those journals to my door in Japan was definitely a challenge. This has been the first time since I started working on getting published where I couldn't receive the journals that I was actually published in...I found it odd and frustrating. One of the journals had to be sent to an American address and then resent to my Japanese address. The other had to be sent twice. I have no idea where the missing journals have gone but I hope whomever has them can actually read and enjoy them.

I'm not blaming anyone but seriously where do missing packages go? I once heard a story of a man who worked for Japan post who kept all the mail he was supposed to deliver at his apartment. I guess it's better than dead bodies in pieces around your place instead.

I'm just grateful to have them finally.
