selling yourself online

...and that's exactly it, right?

Here I am with a website (and all my social media links) to promote myself and I feel awkward and silly.

I am a writer who doesn't really like writing about myself even though sometimes the things I write seem more non-fiction than fiction.

It took a long time for me to even submit my own work for publication and when I finally did, I came to the realization that if I wanted more people to see what I was doing, I needed more than good 'ol trustworthy facebook to promote it.

That being said, the road to self-promotion is an ever-forking path on which I occasionally get lost, or forget my way, or just sit down to admire the grass or the flowers or the spewing volcano. So if I don't talk story too much, it's probably because I am admiring the latest destructive lava flow that just destroyed one of my paths.
