It's my favorite holiday of the year (and my wedding anniversary).

And again it's karaoke time. We spend about 8 hours getting drunk and singing until our voices go. Since we moved to Japan, that has been our usual thing. Get dressed up. Get drunk on all you can drink booze. Sing until we can't sing no more.

When we got married, it was a morning ceremony in my parent's garden, cut the cake, toast some champagne, do the Filipino money dance and then hop on a plane for Maui and change from wedding dress into Halloween costume for a night on the town in Lahaina. What an awesome wedding night! All my friends costumed and having fun, walking along the streets filled with people in amazing costumes. I think that year I saw an actual Predator costume that was pretty badass.

Every year, I try to celebrate Halloween wherever we live. Night clubs. House parties. Karaoke boxes. Any excuse to dress up and get drunk (not that I need it).

  I hope I never lose that want or need to celebrate Halloween.
