Let's Celebrate! AAPI Heritage Month, New Pub, and Best Microfiction 2024

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in the US. As I mentioned last week on twitter, I was honored to be on CLMP’s list again this year for my piece published in SmokeLong Quarterly - “in ache” - there aren’t many Pacific Islanders on the list so if you are wanting to read more works from writers in the/from the Pacific, please check out Pacific Islanders in Publishing. Here you will find literary, genre, YA, picture books, comics, etc… all representing the unique voices of the cultures and peoples across Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia.

Of course, you could always support me and buy one of my books if you haven’t already (Hard Skin and Kahi and Lua) - I am always grateful for any new readers of my work!

I have a new micro up at MicroLit Alamanac! I hope you get a chance to read and listen to “The Opihi Shell Necklace Hidden in My Mother’s Closet.”

Finally, banners are flying for Best Microfiction 2024! Many thanks to Meg Pokrass, Gary Fincke, Grant Faulkner and Craft for publishing and nominating “Sacrament!” Preorder your copy - HERE!! Ships July 8!
