Flexing Your Creative Muscles: The Workshop!
I am so excited to tell you about a workshop I’m hosting through the Crow Collective!
As you probably know, I have been writing about flexing my creativity in Reckon Review’s Wind & Root with my “Flexing Your Creative Muscles” column, so when Sage Tyrtle was asking for writers to host workshops through the Crow Collective, I thought why not give it a try!
So here’s a link to Flex Your Creativity: Give Your Writer Brain a Break scheduled for October 14 (October 15 for those of us on this side of the International Dateline) - registration opens on September 1st!
What I am hoping to do is to offer writers a different way to approach their writing by using other creative outlets. Whether it be doodling, knitting, playing an instrument, meditating, or whatever other non-writing creative act you would like to try, we will read a work, get a prompt, sit with the prompt as we create, then write, and then share (totally optional)…and if time works out as I hope, we will do this three times!
If this sounds at all appealing to you, I hope you sign up.
The cost is fairly reasonable for a 2-hour workshop (hopefully less than $20 USD depending on exchange rates). If you are unable to pay, there are some free spots available, so please let Sage know when you register.
I’m super nervous about this, but I think it will be fun to hang out and write and jam with our various creative outlets! Join me!
I hope that you are all doing well out there and taking care of yourselves. As always, sending light, love and creativity!
