Trying to Kick Apathy's Ass and Upcoming Workshops

I think it’s funny that I started to schedule stuff in my life because I tended towards not doing anything (what I used to call laziness) and thought it would help me be the productive person I wished to be: healthier, prolific, creative, published, accomplished… everything I thought I wasn’t.

This year I am finding out that scheduling too much shit makes me not want to do anything even more than before. Instead of being positive in my proactiveness, I am just overwhelmed and apathetic. So, here I am again, trying to figure my life out, trying to find that balance. I guess it’s just never ending adjustments, which I have to be okay with, but sometimes I’m just not. I took off this month (from most things). I hope for that reset I am always hoping for when I take off. I wonder why I keep feeling the need to take breaks. I can’t be the only one feeling this way…

I want to kick apathy’s ass - as Yoda says, there is no try… so let’s see if I can find that sweet spot so that next December I’m not writing about this again.

I would also like to say that I have three workshops that I am teaching scheduled for next year! Two through Crow Collective and one with Black Lawrence Press!

I’m still working on what to teach for BLP but I am leaning towards micros as that’s what I have been writing these past two years. It’ll be in August!

For Crow Collective, I’m teaching my Creativity workshop again (March) with new readings and prompts as well as a plural POV workshop (May)! Registration opens the month before so I hope you bookmark these pages and join me! There are always free spots available if you can’t afford it.

I hope that wherever you are that you are doing well. Sending love, light and creativity.
