So, I started my morning with my first acceptance of the year! Yay!

While sharing my ups and downs on social media (and recalling my struggle with canceling all of my spring workshops because of stupid Japanese bureaucracy and losing an entire month of pay), one of my friends offered to sponsor me for a workshop, and I just couldn’t believe their generosity. I am still in awe and have been fighting tears all morning.

Add this to the fact that another workshop I had to cancel was graciously offered to me free of payment - I am just filled to the brim with the beauty of others.

I hope that I will be able to do the same for another struggling writer in the future. I know that my financial situation is temporary, for which I am grateful, but I know those lean times and I want to help others overcome these barriers and grow as writers.
