I just wanted to talk a little bit about it. It is something that I have been thinking about for most of my life but haven’t really had the courage to talk about it. I probably won’t talk about it much here either but I wanted to just acknowledge that trauma and culture go hand in hand. The mess of culture that created a world where sexual abuse by family is considered better than consensual same sex relationships is an effed up world.

I don’t want to ruin how people view the story but it’s something that makes me sad and also makes me cry.
