Another Missile Alert

So today was the second time I received a missile alert on my phone.

Unlike the last one which woke me from sleep, this one went off when I was in the shower washing my face. With my hands and eyelids covered in coconuty suds, I tried to quickly rinse them off so I could open the shower door and check my phone.

It was a notification that North Korea had launched another missile. About ten minutes later, I get another one stating it had passed over Hokkaido and landed in the Pacific.

These notifications, at first, worried me. Now, I am not sure how I should feel. I have absolutely no control over the situation. If a missile lands in the place I now call home, what can I do about it? If I go home to Hawaii, I face the same fears and worries. If I go back to the continental US, I face the same fears and worries added to the other things going on there.

I have no solutions. So tonight I dine on Brazilian food and caipirinhas.
